Ready to embark on a little adventure? Buderim Forest is your ticket to a hidden paradise! Picture tranquil waterfalls, winding trails, and ancient trees all nestled in the heart of Buderim. Whether you’re in the mood for a peaceful escape or an adventurous walk or swim, this lush rainforest has something for everyone.

The Walk

There are two main entrances that you can start this walk from, Lindsey Road or Quorn Close. Both will lead you through lush rainforest on a trail about 2.5 km return, making it a relatively easy and short hike for all fitness levels.

We have always started this walk from Quorn Close, there is a small car park, and a few tables with bbqs if you want to have a bite to eat either before or after your rainforest adventure. If you don’t want to walk the full length, this place is also the perfect spot to have a nice swim underneath the falls, though if you want to have the place to yourself I would recommend getting here before 8:00 am, especially in the warmer months.

As you start the walk, you are immediately covered in a canopy of towering trees. Along the way, you’ll pass bubbling streams, with tall old trees, twist and turns as the path curves around. This place is also full of wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for feathered friends, scaly mates and eight-legged creatures!

The true gem of this walk is Buderim Falls (also known as Serenity Falls). This breathtaking waterfall tumbles into a natural rock pool, surrounded by lush greenery. While it flows throughout the year, it transforms into an especially spectacular sight after rainfall.

Things to know before you go:

Distance: If you walk the full length from one carpark to the other and back its about 2.5km Duration: Allow 1-1.5 hrs. Give yourself time to dip your toes in the water. Gear: For this walk you don’t need to much. Water, sunscreen, snacks and swimmers if you want to take a dip. Be sure to wear supported shoes as the rocks can get wet and slippery when crossing the creek.
